Teaching Awards

Our teaching staff are recipients of numerous teaching awards; the following  are just a few examples: 

2024 – Dr Beatrice Hayes and Dr Adnan Levent, were both awarded with the College Excellence Teaching Prize in recognition of their innovation case study: Co-Created and Co-Produced Student Initiatives to Support Students´’Learning and Wellbeing.

2024 – Dr. Danijela Serbic, a senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway, Unviersity of London, has received the 2023 Higher Education Psychology Teacher of the Year Award.

2021 – College Team Teaching Commendation – An award to the THESIS team members in June 2021 in recognition of the innovation of THESIS as a pedagogic initiative.

2019 – College Excellence Teaching Commendation – An award to Dr Sam Fairlamb for his work with the student discussion group, ‘social psychology in the news’ (SPIN).

2018 – College Certificate of Commendation – An award to Dr Eilidh Cage in recognition of her inspiring participatory student research project.

2017 – National Teaching Fellowship – Awarded to Dr Victoria Bourne by  the Higher Education Academy. A National Teaching Fellowship is the most prestigious individual award for excellence in teaching in higher education. To find out more, follow this link: Dr Victoria Bourne award

2017 – College Certificate of Commendation – A team award (led by Dr Danijela Serbic) recognising our effective and transferable approach to fostering student engagement in the Undergraduate Seminars.

2014 – College Team Teaching Prize – A team award (led by Prof Victoria Bourne) recognising our dedication to collaborative teaching and team work approach to teaching  Research Methods and Analysis in Psychology.
