HE Teaching Development Conference 2024

Date & Location: Tuesday 4th June 2024 (11:00 to 17:30), Moore Lecture Theatre, Royal Holloway University of London

Contact us: HETDconference2024@rhul.ac.uk

The HE Teaching Development Conference 2024 will be a day dedicated to exploring the trends and best practices in inclusive education within higher education. As a university group with extensive experience and expertise in HE pedagogy, we are thrilled to bring together educators, and other professionals from across the country to share insights, exchange ideas, and collaborate on advancing inclusive teaching and learning practices in higher education. Find out more about THESIS here.

Our conference features a range of sessions led by experts in the field, covering topics such as supporting diverse learners, and creating inclusive classroom environments. Whether you’re a seasoned educator or just starting your journey in academia, this conference is designed to inspire, empower, and equip you with the tools and strategies needed to create inclusive learning environments for all students.

Our two confirmed keynote speakers, Dr Danijela Serbic (Royal Holloway), recipient of British Psychological Society’s prestigious Higher Education Psychology Teacher of the Year 2023, and Dr Jane Sedgwick (King’s College London) specialised in supporting students with ADHD, will share their expertise in working with colleagues and students to create HE environments where everyone can better learn and prosper.

In addition to the keynotes, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive workshop, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and network with colleagues who share a passion for inclusive education. Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive space where attendees can learn from each other, exchange ideas, and build connections that will enrich their professional practice.

We invite you to join us for a day of learning, inspiration, and collaboration as we work together to advance inclusive education in higher education. So, mark your calendar, spread the word, and get ready to join us on June 4 in our beautiful campus in Egham, about 40 minutes on train from Central London.
